2026 Key Election Dates
What’s on the Ballot in 2026
2026 is a significant midterm election year for Arkansas. Voters in Benton County will have the opportunity to weigh in on a wide range of races, including:
- U.S. Senate: Arkansas’s U.S. Senate seat is up for election in 2026
- U.S. House of Representatives: All four of Arkansas’s congressional seats are on the ballot
- Statewide offices: Secretary of State, Attorney General, Treasurer, Auditor, Land Commissioner, and others
- Arkansas State Legislature: State Senate and House races across the state
- Benton County local offices: County Judge, Sheriff, Assessor, and other county positions
- Judicial races: Circuit and district court judgeships
Voter Registration
To vote in the primary, you must be a registered voter in Arkansas. Registration deadlines vary by election—in most cases, you must register at least 30 days before Election Day.

Voter ID Requirements
Arkansas requires voters to show valid photo identification when voting in person. Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Arkansas driver’s license or state ID card
- U.S. passport
- Military ID
- Concealed carry handgun license
- U.S. Uniformed Services ID

Early Voting & Absentee Voting
Arkansas offers several options for voters who cannot vote in person on Election Day:
Early Voting
Early voting is available at the Benton County Clerk’s office and select satellite locations in the days leading up to each election. Check the Benton County Clerk’s website for specific dates, times, and locations.
Absentee Voting
Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot. You may vote absentee in person at the County Clerk’s office, or request a ballot be mailed to you. Contact the Benton County Clerk at (479) 271-1013 for absentee ballot information.
